Live Scan (also commonly searched as “livescan” or “live scan fingerprinting”) is a quick and easy way to submit your fingerprints required for employment or to meet state requirements.

We provide Live Scan fingerprinting services for customers in Bonita, Chula Vista, National City, and throughout San Diego County.

Live Scan digitally scans and captures your fingerprints, then immediately transmits them electronically to the State Department of Justice in Sacramento.

What to Bring to Your Live Scan Appointment:

You MUST have a Request for Live Scan Services Form – this is provided to you by the requesting agency along with any instructions, since different forms are used.

You must bring a valid and current government-issued photo ID, such as a California driver’s license or DMV ID, an out-of-state driver’s license,  state-issued non-driver ID, Passport, Military ID, Alien Registration Card/Green Card Photo ID. Note: Expired IDs are not accepted.

You must be physically present in California. Live Scan services are not available for individuals needing Live Scan fingerprinting for other states.

Under the California Department of Justice regulations, we are not able to assist applicants in completing their Request for Live Scan Service form. If your information is incomplete or you have a question, we must refer you back to your employment or licensing agency.
